Nuno Espirito was sacked as the manager of premier league club Tottenham Hotspurs just after 17 games in charge of the North London Club.
Spurs today announce that Nuno Espírito Santo and the rest of his coaching staff Rui Barbosa, Ian Cathro and Antonio Dias have been relieved of their duties.
Fabio Paratici, Managing Director, Football, said: “I know how much Nuno and his coaching staff wanted to succeed and I regret that we have had to take this decision.
“Nuno is a true gentleman and will always be welcome here. We should like to thank him and his coaching staff and wish them well for the future.”
Chants of “You don’t know what you’re doing” were aimed at Nuno as he substituted out Steven Bergwijn and subbed in Lucas Moura at the 54th minute of the game before fans shouted “We Want Levy Out” and a pocket of fans appeared to aim boos at the club skipper Harry Kane.
Previously, Harry Kane, desired a move to Manchester City before Spurs blocked the move at the start of the season.
It is still unclear what the future holds for Nuno, but judging by the current teams performance, it looks bleak for the manager especially after the damaging result that left fan in distraught in which the team were booed off the field.
